As a wedding photographer, Portland couldn’t be a more inspiring place to work! The choices for wedding venues are endless. From modern warehouses in the city, small chapels and intimate event spaces, to venues surrounded by the nature that most of us love to call home, you are bound to find the perfect backdrop for your wedding. Hopefully this list can help you find the perfect place to say your vows.

Outdoor Wedding Venues

  • Leach Botanical Gardens / A botanical wonderland, Leach Botanical Garden is a great venue for nature lovers.

  • Lewis and Clark College / Located on the historic and picturesque college campus, Lewis and Clark is a timeless venue.

  • The Griffin House / One of my favorite venues, The Griffin House is an upscale and unique option featuring incredible views of the Columbia River Gorge.

  • Skamania Lodge / Located on the Washington side of the Columbia River Gorge, Skamania Lodge has breathtaking views, a romantic setting, and lodging built in for your guests to party all night!

  • Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden / Crystal Springs is a gorgeous setting for an elopement and wedding alike. Elope in the garden, or have a larger event surrounded by nature right in Portland.

  • Abernethy Center / Abernethy Center has an outdoor reception space with a gorgeous gazebo, as well as a great indoor space for your reception.

  • Zenith Vineyard / In the heart of wine country, Zenith Vineyard is a modern and romantic outdoor venue. It’s perfect for wine lovers!

  • Mount Hood Meadows / Mount Hood Meadows is a unique option with incredible views of Mount Hood.

Indoor Wedding Venues

  • The Evergreen / The Evergreen is modern, stylish, and versatile— great for large, joyful celebrations!

  • Union / Pine / Right in the heart of Portland, Union / Pine is chic and intimate.

  • Coopers Hall / Coopers Hall is a unique winery venue located in Portland. This venue has a great industrial vibe!

  • The Castaway / The Castaway is a warehouse venue located right next to Blockhouse. It’s a massive and bright space, and one of the best urban venues!

  • Jupiter NEXT / Jupiter NEXT is a trendy and artistic venue located in Portland. It doubles as a hotel, and is in a great location in Portland!

  • Nordic Northwest / Nordic Northwest embraces Nordic design for a truly unique touch. It’s perfect for couples who appreciate a bit of Scandinavian influence.

Unique Wedding Venues

  • Blockhouse / Blockhouse is another favorite venue of mine! Located in a greenhouse, it seamlessly combines indoors and outdoors. It’s a beautiful space located right in Portland.

  • Oaks Pioneer Church / This historic venue located right next to Sellwood Park has a ton of charm! You can even walk right over to Oaks Amusement Park for a fun and unique reception.

  • Polaris Hall / Polaris Hall is located in North Portland, and is primarily a music venue. If you’re like me, you’ve seen a bunch of shows here— and many don’t know you can get married here as well!

  • Gordon House / The Gordon House was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and is an architectural gem. It’s perfect for couples who love mid-century design.

  • Timberline Lodge / Mount Hood Skibowl / Timberline Lodge is a unique venue that you may already have visited in the past! These venues are located 6,000+ feet up on Mount Hood, and incorporate an adventurous feel into your wedding day!

Small Wedding Venues

  • Hoyt Arboretum Redwood Deck / Elevated amidst the redwoods in Hoyt Arboretum, the Redwood Deck is the perfect intimate forest venue.

  • Portland City Grill / Portland City Grill is just about as great of a view of Portland you can get, as it’s located in Big Pink! Their Chef’s Tasting Room is a great intimate venue with gorgeous views.

  • Opal 28 / Opal 28 is a hidden gem with vintage charm. It’s a cozy and eclectic setting for a reception, with both indoor and outdoor spaces!

  • Eco Trust / Eco Trust is located in a sustainably designed building. It’s environmentally conscious and modern!

  • Cathedral Park / If you want to incorporate an iconic piece of Portland into your wedding, Cathedral Park is perfect! You can wed right under the St. John’s Bridge
